Song for ShestheFirst.org

I recently completed the score for a commercial produced by www.shesthefirst.org .

What is ShestheFirst?

"She’s the First is a media campaign that promotes the importance of educating girls who would otherwise not have the opportunity to go to school.
To inspire these girls to break barriers and realize their dreams, She’s the First helps as many of them as possible obtain an education by attracting donors to an online directory of schools with sponsorship programs.
She’s the First also facilitates communication among school leaders who can support each other by sharing ideas, advice, and initiatives to teach students the value of giving back to the community." -shesthefirst.org

The website officially releases November 1st, and then the project starts:

Phase One:

• Fall 2009 launch of shesthefirst.org,
featuring viral video and directory.
• Establish relationships with member
schools.
• Kick-off media promotion.

Phase Two:

• Develop She’s the First workshop for
girls, piloted at MCF Academy in Liberia.
• Seek corporate sponsors.

Phase Three:

• Offer the workshop to member schools.

Phase Four:

• Create a digital network for She’s the First
students, allowing them to digitally
share the stories of their surroundings
with each other and sponsors where
possible.
• Create a craft/fashion project that
teaches teambuilding in the
schools while turning out a product
that can be sold, allowing
sustainability and further
branding of the mission (like
beadforlife.org).

Phase Five:

• Grow relationships with international
corporations that can provide
scholarships (or work experience) for
students who excel in the She’s the
First program.

I believe this is a great new project and I only wish more people would take the initiative to start things like this. This past summer I started a project called Rising Artists International which offers free music promotion services. She's The First blows my vision out of the water. And I could not be happier about this. I am very proud to announce the RAI supports She's The First to the fullest!
